Different ways to write an introduction paragraph
It lays out the scope of the argument. It asks questions that will be answered later on. It provokes thought. If you want to write an excellent introduction and you have no idea where to start, read on. Hook the reader with a great first sentence. Your first sentence should draw the reader in and make them want to read more. It is not the only format for writing an essay, of course, but it is a useful model for you to keep in mind, especially as you begin to develop your composition skills.
